Sarah Palin or Barack Obama, Person or Provocateur: Who do you trust?

2009 September 7

The prognosis is catastrophic if projected government policies are not cut back. According to the White House’s own estimates, the federal budget deficit in 2009 will be $1.6 trillion, approximately 11.2pc of the overall economy, the highest on record since the end of the Second World War. In 2019, the national debt will represent 76.5pc of the US national economy. Charles K. Rowley

Not since Jimmy Carter occupied the White House has a president fallen so far, so fast. Not only is Obama in trouble, he is rapidly becoming the country’s most ordinary president ever, save being known for delivering the most radical manifesto of any president. A once charismatic leader is now a flailing man, and the lack of Fourth Estate vetting will undoubtedly destroy citizen trust in the media as well.

Before delegating his agenda to the “Leftists Gone Wild” in Congress, Obama was recognized by conservatives as a radical. Unfortunately for the Democrats and Independents who supported him in the general election, the mainstream media failed in vetting a man who numbers among his friend the ex-Domestic Terrorist William Ayers (a Chávista clone), admitted Communist Van Jones, terrorist-apologist Rashid Khalidi, and racist hate-inciter Jeremiah Wright. Despite beating McCain by only seven points in a year of the greatest economic catastrophe since the Great Depression, Obama’s margin of victory over an unpopular Republican is really more of a joke than a mandate. Yet, Obma sincerely thought he had a personal mandate from the people. He assumed it was personal, even though he and his handlers kept his real far-left beliefs and Marxist-socialist agenda hidden from the public — with the support of an idolatrous press.

Obama’s desire to destroy our Constitutional Republic and replace it with a socialist tyranny is becoming more obvious with each passing day, which is why this summer’s Town Halls were so raucous. Yes, health care reform fueled the anger, but the anger was already present. An anger stoked by Obama’s increasing state power, government spending and national debt. The latter being known as “generational theft.” Although Obama regards himself a spokesman for the people, he is anything but. And when the real grass roots had had enough, Obama’s union thugs, voter fraud organizations, and brutish Chicago politics took center stage.

“Get out of the way.” “Don’t do a lot of talking.” Barack Obama

When viewed in light of Obama’s condescenion and blatant hypocrisy, the animosity grows even more pointed — and it has nothing to do with the color of the president’s skin. Claiming to bring a “new kind of politics” to Washington, the only thing “new” was just how far off the ethical scale Team Obama has conducted itself. While asserting the administration would be “transparent” and frustrate the status quo of special interests and lobbyists, Obama and his cohorts have systematically cut backroom deals with every imaginable special interest; drug companies, auto unions, and doctors all enjoyed “favors” worth billions of dollars.

Then, when faced with a real grass-roots movement, Obama, his supporters, the mainstream media, and the leaders of his party went to extremes in painting the country’s citizens as “Nazis,” “Brown Shirts,” “un-American,” and “astroturfers.” Claiming average citizens were a “mob” that was doing the bidding of his political opponents, Obama, et. al., labeled upset Americans as unhinged racists and more than implied they were irrational and misinformed “peasants.” Some in the Obama ranks even insisted there was something “fishy” about all of the opposition, when the only thing “fishy” was the White House attempt to pit neighbor against neighbor.

Meanwhile, Obama’s, the administration’s spokespeople, and the Congressional answers on health care are implausible and slippery as any newly caught fish out of water. Somehow, the country’s Medicare system that is bankrupting the country can realize $500 million in savings without cutting services. In fact, the coverage will be expanded and deficits will simultaneously be reduced. Although one could expect such an answer from Joe “Spend to Save” Biden, such economically impossible words from the president served only one purpose, and once the incredulity passed, the people’s trust in the chief executive was gone. Moreover, when the people know they are being played for chumps, they become even more agitated. In response to the people, one can almost hear Obama echoing Lord Cornwallis’ words in Hollywood’s The Patriot: “An army of rabble. Peasants. Everything will change. Everything has changed.

Thus, with trust gone, Obama now hopes to salvage health care with compromise and bipartisanship. Something he promised during the election, but has yet to deliver. Still thinking he has a mandate and believing the idolaters in the mainstream media, Obama has completely failed to understand that what works on the streets of Chicago does not work on Main Street USA.

From the inside, no family ever seems typical. That’s how it is with us. Our family has the same ups and downs as any other … the same challenges and the same joys. Sarah Palin from her RNC Speech

Enter Sarah Palin — from Main Street USA.

Unlike the Provocateur in Chief, Sarah’s “heart” does not flow from teleprompter-rhetoric or “street organizing.” Sarah radiates the “been there, done that” life; a life filled with hardship and no Ivy League education. People sense its genuineness, which is precisely what frightens the Left end elicits such hatred from Obama’s supporters. In the world of leftist politics, advancing ones agenda is paramount and hardship is merely to be exploited for political gain. Politicians are supposed to be elitists, even if their beginnings were humble. And there is a distinct difference between charisma and compassionate understanding.

Despite its “claim” to compassion and fighting on behalf of the disenfranchised, the modern leftist is devoid of feeling and could care less about “lowly” people beyond how they can be harnessed to gain political power. One example of the left’s modus operandi is voter ID. Instead of laboring to pass universal Voter ID laws, the left uses a so-called inability to obtain state-level identification as a reason to oppose said laws. Instead of helping the voter in his everyday life with identification, maintaining the status quo leaves the left free to register dead people and engage in massive voter fraud. Again, it’s not about compassion, it’s all about power. And when the left is called-out for its duplicity, the American liberal goes ballistic and attacks with every pejorative in their repertoire.

Unfortunately for the left, only the greedy, self-serving sycophant agrees with such adolescent behavior. Although the political “center” (Independents) did overwhelmingly support Obama during the election (thanks in part to a useless press), these are the very voters who’ve deserted Obama during the summer months. Why? Because reasonable people expect reasonable behavior, and the Obama administration, Pelosi, Reid, and the pandering mainstream media have been anything but reasonable. They’ve consistently maligned any and all opposition as un-American, while seeking to advance a radical statist agenda.

Despite what the left thinks of NASCAR fans, red states, and anyone who believes in God, it is these very people who are carefully watching Washington-insider evil and see something different in a human being that resembles them. Thus, is there any real wonder as to why Palin is able to connect with so much of the country, even though she is under relentless attack by elitists? If anything, leftist condemnation of Palin is counterproductive, because it is an attack on Americans in general and Americans traditionally love an underdog.

Whether any of the leftist mud will stick to Sarah remains to be seen. Accusations of mismanagement, infidelity, and unethical conduct abound. However, even if Palin did engage in an adulterous liaison, it is the “Mount Everest of Hypocrisy” for the left to malign her for something the left celebrates. Again, it’s because she is so human that people would more readily forgive her than a prig who arrogantly criticizes others (Obama, Reid, and Pelosi all come to mind). For just as Americans love an underdog, they are also very forgiving people — plain folks that are filled with compassion.

And it is these very same “plain folks” that intuitively know when they’re being told a whopper, and they know they’ve been told a lot of lies by Team Obama already. Not the least of which is the unemployment rate. So as the anger builds within those who live by First Principles and they’re ridiculed for invoking their constitutional rights, Sarah Palin makes more “common sense” than a weak-kneed John McCain or a radical-leftist Barack Obama. In fact, the whole issue boils down to one of trust.

Personally, I’m not impressed with either Obama or Palin, but see Obama as the lesser of 2 evils. After all, Palin can’t even manage to run her PAC correctly. If she can’t run a PAC, how is she ever going to run a country?

    fuck you assholes.

    McPL,

Your comment stands as an example of why so much of the left cannot be taken seriously. Instead of addressing the issue — trust — you devolve into the playground antics of an elementary school child: “We won, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah.” No mention of what’s constitutional, best for America or that the current chief executive works for all of the people. Frankly, it’s rather pathetic.

“Politicians are supposed to be elitists,”

This is the reason we are in this mess in the first place. I would rather my dog, or the homeless guy down the street be president than the disconnected “elitists”. As for Palin…HA! Keep being stuck in the red/blue, left/right, dem/repub BS system, you are being a useful idiot by parroting this game they created and mastered. How about we destroy this divide by exposing it instead of playing along and keeping it alive. The dems and repubs serve the same masters, the sooner you realize this, the clearer you will see.

I would never, ever, trust a quitter. Sarah Palin quit.
Everyone knows that quitters never win, and winners never quit.
