Liars, Leftists, & Loonies or “How we destroyed the Mainstream Media”
Worthless. Crude. Archaic. Biased. Lie-filled. Leftist. Socialist. Marxist. Prejudiced. Unprincipled. Moronic. Anti-American.
UPDATE: Michelle Malkin reports on the latest media group desiring a federal bailout–public radio and television! Considering they’ve been corporate welfare recipients since their inception, and been a platform for leftist drivel (think Bill Moyers, etc.), this is the last thing the country needs to bailout. In fact, before we give them a single penny, let’s shutter their propaganda forever.
Any of these can be used to describe the mainstream media in America, and journalist arrogance knows no bounds. Besides attacking private citizens they made famous with their unprincipled character assassination, there is not one good story about anyone the mainstream media cannot turn into a matter of public ugliness. And all of this is accomplished by the current crop of liars, leftists, and lunatics that populate the mainstream media’s nerve centers, as well as those who supposedly “research” the topics to be reported.
The media’s political agendas drive everything.
For example, “since we hate President Bush, let’s ensure we malign his policies in the very same article in which we report his personal contact with the families of every service member who died in ‘Bush’s War.’” No. The media won’t print anything positive on anyone who doesn’t fit their leftist worldview, even if it means distorting facts (lies) to achieve that end.
“Christians are all homophobes, so Rick Warren shouldn’t appear at the inauguration.”
“Gun owners are all potential murderers, so guns need to be banned.”
“Criminals who use guns are all victims of society’s racial prejudice.”
“Every law enforcement agency always profiles Muslims, so let’s positively report on the terrorist-connected ‘rights groups’ suing government entities for racial profiling.”
“Homosexuals don’t have a choice and everyone who says differently is a liar, so let’s debunk all of them — including former homosexuals — who say it’s a choice.”
“Just because we can point to multiple administrations having a role in the current economic crisis, it’s still all Bush’s fault.”
Pick a topic, and it doesn’t matter which one, the leftist liars will find a way to spin it and make it something that it isn’t. How else could a stereotypical Chicago politician be elected president?
America’s mainstream media is destroying the country because of its agenda and its inability to separate fact from fiction, as well as turning their facts into fiction and then reporting it as factual. Any parent whose child did the same thing would take action to change the child’s aberrant behavior. Yet, the mainstream media gets a pass from themselves first, their willing accomplices that comprise special interest groups second, and the uninformed public third.
As a result, the Fourth Estate, who was vouchsafed specific protections by our Constitutional Republic, in order to maintain our democratic principles, has become an enemy of the state and the American people.
Whether one listens to radio, reads a newspaper, watches television, or surfs the internet, the mainstream media is replete with falsehoods and agenda-driven reporting that makes a mockery of objectivity, our country’s foundational institutions, and condescendingly sees itself as a “teacher” of the masses.
It’s often been said that our country’s ills can be solved by killing all the lawyers. However, most of these individuals are politicians in some form or fashion, and the public already knows how dangerous they are. On the other hand, the overwhelming majority of Americans have no clue how dangerous the mainstream media has become. Perhaps, therefore, we need to rearrange some of the axiomatic language our citizens use, in order to readily identify our country’s current crop of enemies. Enemies who’ve joined Islamofascist terrorist thugs, rage-filled homosexuals, uneducated Hollywood types, fat women who twist religion to foist their own view of spirituality on a consuming public, and a host of other dissatisfied whiners, cry babies, and entitlement types who think they should belly-up to the trough at other people’s expense.
Meanwhile, I’ve Seen Britney’s Spears or the patently false article by Time, which is devoid of the critical “facts” underlying the Israeli response (thereby creating a false notion of Israeli brutality), passes for journalism in the world of liars, leftists, and loonies.
On the other hand, Joe the Plumber is now working for PJTV and PM. Considering Joe’s ability to honestly question candidate Obama (something no one in the mainstream media was capable of doing), the mainstream media may get the “flushing” they so richly deserve!
Meantime, it’s time to wake-up America, because the mainstream media is lying to you.
