And so, my fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country. President John F. Kennedy
As The One continues reneging on campaign promises, it’s interesting to note the difference in his tone concerning communal service.
Unlike JFK, who contrasted selflessly serving one’s country with selfishly asking for handouts, Obama not only intends that his supporters receive handouts (like Rhodium rings), he wants public service tied to more government largesse.
Still untouched, however, is the financial means to keep even one of his promises, especially in light of a faltering economy.
Moreover, considering a “business as usual” atmosphere in his cabinet picks, one has to seriously wonder what “change” anyone “hopes” to see in The Obamination Administration.
As the sun sets on America’s super-power status, as Obama plays hoops instead of attending church, as Hollywood types plan to broadcast live from D.C. during inauguration week, we are seeing the continued hype underscoring the “form over substance” presidency of a man who may not even be legally qualified to be the president.
All other issues aside, however, we still cannot avoid the question of Obama’s socialist/Marxist public positions. We cannot set aside the public comments of his supporters who sincerely believe Obama is going to increase the size and scope of the nanny state. And we certainly can’t dismiss the external threats that can derail the least of his promises. We also foolishly dismiss — at our own peril — the adulation of The One from the center and center right.
Thus, we really must consider the Obama presidency as a pre-cursor to global domination of like-minded tyrants that will lead the world into the spasmodic chaos of the last days. Although Christ’s return will be welcome indeed, Obama is not Him, despite the rhetoric of Hollywood, the mainstream media, his welfare-queen supporters, and those who think Obama has even one solution to our country’s ills. Beware, “comrade,” The One is a phony.
