Business as usual and the problem with “moderates”
Those who stand for nothing fall for anything. Alexander Hamilton
Everything in moderation? Only if you subscribe to the conservative viewpoint.
As evidenced by their excesses in the “California Bum Ninja Rampages,” there is no moderation for gays and their leftist supporters. But what about moderates?
So-called “moderates” are becoming the problem in this country. Accepting the Clinton games of “hide and seek” records in a White House closet, the “Oral Olympics” in the Oval Office, and “Shield the Secret Donors from Scrutiny,” moderates actually buy into the leftist lie that most actions have no consequences.
What both moderates and leftists ignore is the reality that there is an accounting–either by man or by God or, if you believe in God, then you know there is always an accounting by Him.
However, it is obvious the “accounting to God” is lost on most Americans as a practical reality.
Not wanting to be left out of the Christmas season, Planned Parenthood Indiana has joined with other affiliates of the taxpayer-supported, baby-murder machine to hand out holiday “gift certificates.” Of course, the left-leaning health department thinks this is great. It would be interesting to see the Muslim reaction to America’s pork producers handing out gift certificates during Eid or Ramadan.
Meanwhile, working behind the scenes to further their agenda via usurping the voter’s will, two Canadian-”married” lesbians are seeking a “divorce” in Oklahoma.
On yet another front of the assault on Judeo-Christian values and the problem with moderates, Islamofascists murdered Jews without so much as a whisper from moderates. As Hamilton notes, falling for anything is the result of standing for nothing. In this case, standing for the lie that Islam is a religion of “peace” just cost more lives–even though it wasn’t the planned 5,000.
So what’s the solution?
Well, making the GOP “sexy” is not the answer. The answer is far more complex and farsighted than emotive marketing.
The answer begins with demanding educators teach children to think critically (logically) instead of relying on their emotions (“I think…” versus ”I feel that…”). Secondly, instead of appealing to moderates by changing principles, conservatives need to educate those who have succumbed to the touchy-feely, mind-numbing screaming and lie-filled mantras of the left. Third, conservatives must reinvigorate their own base with well-reasoned proposals to solve the nation’s ills, including educating its own on the cyclic nature of capitalist economies (i.e., “globalization” does not equate to never-ending “growth”). Fourth, as advocates of free enterprise and capitalism, conservatives must adamantly oppose bail outs of those corporations that take abnormal and “greed-based” risks.
Although merely the tip of the iceberg to the solution, these initiatives would certainly provide a basis for recovering conservative principles. And, once recovered, the “right” side of the political spectrum could move forward with reducing the judiciary to its constitutional-role of the “weakest” of the three branches of government, as well as ensuring the American populace understood that activist judges have no place on any American “bench.”
