So where’s the love? Why can’t we just all get along? Why is the left so intolerant of those that oppose them?
Simple: Welcome to Amerika, comrade!
The fact that rabid gays attacked an elderly woman shouldn’t surprise anyone. American gays are not interested in anyone else’s constitutional rights, just the invented “rights” they think they’re entitled to. But let’s get real on this issue, why is there so much opposition from some sections of society while others fawn over the gay “rights” movement?
Why don’t blacks and other minorities support gay “civil rights”?
First, American minorities don’t choose anything about their genetic make-up. Secondly, the gays themselves reject the scientific evidence of a possible link to their behavior for sound reasons: (a) If there is a genetic “abnormality” that makes gays gay, then the argument about “being born that way” loses credibility because it is very likely an abnormality in the DNA strain, and (b) if it is a genetic abnormality, then they can’t begin to claim that “gay marriage” is effectually equal to heterosexual marriage.
Secondly, because the gays don’t want to hang their hat on the scientific evidence that may point to “being born that way” (this is the bailiwick of the “white liberal”), American minorities have a difficult time accepting white-liberal “gay theory” as opposed to their very real minority American experience (gee, ya think?).
Third, many minorities are extremely devout in their religious beliefs and to compromise these beliefs are just not part of the equation.
Why do white liberals support gay marriage?
First, because they’re stupid. However, all ad hominem attacks aside, white liberals support gay marriage for the same reason they support other liberal causes–the don’t think and they are illogical. You can see this demonstrated time and again by the liberal media when they complain about “guilt by association” attacks on “their” candidate (which is a valid complaint from a classic logic standpoint), but then they turn around and do the very same thing they’re complaining about (which is also prima facie evidence of their retarded emotional development).
Secondly, white liberal guilt. Liberals need to “care” about everyone except conservatives, who they think should be crucified for breathing the same air liberals are exclusively entitled to.
Third, liberals cannot argue the secular merits of their position without attacking their opponents for articulating or not articulating a religious basis for their decision not to support gay marriage. This usually falls in the ad hominem category of logical fallacy, but it doesn’t stop the liberals from “liberally” using the word “homophobe” as though the mere use of the word substantiates their argument (”form over substance”).
Why do libertarians support gay marriage?
One answer: They think individual “rights” trumps the “good of the whole” in nearly every situation.
Why do others oppose gay marriage?
Well, in this day and age, it’s the economy stupid. If gays cannot bring little tax payers into the world, then why should they be allowed to marry? In fact, if this argument is good enough for Hillary Clinton to deny life-saving surgery to elderly Americans, solely based on a cost-benefit analysis (will the surgery pay for itself in federal tax revenue down the road?), then it’s a legitimate question to apply to gay marriage from the same perspective.
Just to foil the “well they can adopt the needed children so they can become productive members of society” argument (see paragraph above), ask yourself this? Do you want any child raised by the homosexual thugs you’ve seen raging in California’s streets this past week? If you do, let me be frank, you are either brain dead or malevolently evil yourself.
Location, location, location. Some Californians (and other Americans) are fed-up with an agenda that has foisted itself on their own children via mandated indoctrination in the public schools. And it doesn’t matter the reason for parental objection. Parental rights must always trump the school’s rights, and it just isn’t working out that way in California.
The “marriage is a legal contract” argument falls short in too many areas to elaborate on in this post. However, suffice it to say, there are many aspects of the marriage contract that are discriminatory and favor one side over the other at the time of its inking. Child custody is one huge issue, but there are others. So, in the case of homosexual males that some states might allow to adopt children, who gets the children? Who is the societally-recognized “nurturer” in a gay marriage? The pillow-biter or the Bum Ninja?
You can see this could become a pretty sticky situation (no pun intended). Meantime, the gays continue in their hate-filled antics, which only serves to polarize people and entrench them in their positions

I add: this one might cost us conservatives, in a good way. We in America aren’t used to having our beliefs cost us something, so this will be something new. We’ll have to show some backbone.
Mark,
Where is your progressive spirit? Your tolerance? Your inclusiveness? …same place mine is; fed up with all this crap! Rights. The only rights I’m interested in is putting them “right back in the closet.”
Maybe I’m being naive here – which I usually am – but I’m hopeful that all the hostility, hate and violence being demonstrated by the gay community toward Christians will backfire on them. I pray this will incite more Christians to stand strong and let their voices and values be heard – whether it be through voting or other venues.
It saddens me that my grandchildren are being exposed to sexual perversion at very early ages. I live in one of the most conservative areas of America – Western KY – and yet even here, the homosexual issue is all around us.
The words of the old hymn “Onward Christian Soldiers” comes to mind:
Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war, with the cross of Jesus going on before. Christ, the royal Master, leads against the foe; forward into battle see his banners go!
We are called to be warriors for Christ.
Mark, keep up the good fight.
Donette,
We are called to be warriors and to fight the good fight–in many areas of life. If anything should be motivating people of faith, it is the obvious signs of the times:
“But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God…” 2 Timothy 3:1-4 (NASB)
The disconcerting thing to me is the Evangelical church’s failure to recognize the threat and understand their own Bible. American Christians are spiritually ignorant. They would rather listen to Joel Osteen than read Packer, Tozer, Spurgeon and, most importantly, their Bibles!
Christians have this glorious “love letter” from an infinitely powerful God who has redeemed a people for His own adornment. A people to reflect His glory. Unfortunately, in its place, we see the fifth verse of the same passage say, “holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power.”
Christians are supposed to be able to discern. However, how man evangelicals voted for Obama? How many missed the fact that Obama said he attended church nearly every week, but then claimed he (1) didn’t agree with Jeremiah Wright on everything and (2) never heard Wright say the ungodly things he publicly said, as well as invoking God’s damnation of America? Where’s the discernment?
The sheep are not the only ones who are failing to understand God’s Holy and Infallible Word. The American pastorate is dropping the ball. Instead of telling the sheep their job is evangelism and empowering the sheep to perform their job, too many pastors are self-absorbed or doing the work of evangelism themselves. This is the wrong answer. Pastors, as under-shepherds, are supposed to be tending to the flock, pointing out the dangers, and strengthening the flock. Granted, many pastors know their charge from God Almighty, but how many of these same pastors are willing to follow their Revolutionary-era forefathers who would have absolutely no problem with defying an ungodly government? Frankly, too many would be afraid of losing their 501(c)3 status and, just as problematic, the flock wouldn’t make up the monetary difference to sustain the pastor!
In the meantime, “because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour” (1 Peter 5:8), all of us must be hyper-vigilant in the days that are upon us. Refusing to yield to the nay-sayers, confronting the world’s idolaters, and lovingly pointing out the folly of those who support gay marriage, abortion, and every form of reprobate behavior that affects society in general and our children in particular.
Granted, referring to someone as a “Bum Ninja” or “pillow biter” isn’t the most love-based manner to address the issue. However, I would caution those Christians who find this offensive to place those terms in context. The people I was referring to are criminals. The elderly lady they assaulted shouldn’t have hesitated a second to file charges against the thugs who attacked her and attacked our very freedoms as Americans. Their behavior was far more than just a criminal act against an old woman; their attack on her was also an assault on a God-ordained government of the people, for the people, and by the people. In essence, the rage of the gays, and the outworking thereof, is an assault on our Constitutional Republic and, instead of watching from the sidelines, Obama and Schwarznegger should be forcefully condemning the behavior. However, as we can see from Obama’s radical support of the most egregious form of abortion, his heart is already hardened and Scharznegger is pandering to his debauched California constituency.
